Corrosion Inhibitor for Diesel Cooling Water Treatment - RXSOL CIDC is a unique formulation with organic Corrosion Inhibitors, Anti-Scalant for use in closed cooling water systems, for preventing corrosion and scale Formation in Internal combustion engines, compressor cooling system, DG -set at high or low temperature. The stable oxide film that is formed by RXSOL CIDC prevents corrosion caused by the electrolytic action between dissimilar metals used in the system .RXSOL CIDC has been field tested and found to have no detrimental effects on non-metallic substances such as seals, glands, packing, hoses, gaskets etc., normally used in these’ systems.

Using Procedure:

Initial dosage for an untreated system is 9 litres of RXSOL CIDC / 1000 litres of untreated distilled water. This will bring the treatment up to the minimum level of 1000 ppm nitrite. For best result and prolonged engine life add RXSOL CIDC every 500 -6500 km. or 250 to 300 hours of running time or every 2 month interval.

Note:

In cases where systems are contaminated with oil and/or scale, they should be cleaned before starting to apply RXSOL CIDC.There are suitable RX BRAND products to carry out the cleaning. Degreasing should be carried out using RXSOL-20-2002-025 and descaling by using RXSOL 1008.

Application:

Always wear face shield when using this high powered product. Do-not mix with any other drain opener product or use immediately after using any other drain opening product. Water activates this product.

Small Drains- Apply 8 ounces, allow to stand 2-3 minutes, then flush with water for 2 – 3 minutes
Floor Drains– Apply 1 quart, allow to stand 10 minutes, then flush with water for 5 minutes.
6 to 8 INCH Drains – Apply ½ gallon, allow to stand 15 minutes, then flush with water to 5 minutes.
Grease Traps – Apply 1 quart or more. Use 20% to 50% of initial application periodically for control.
Septic Tanks – Apply 1 gallon to 500-gallon capacity. Pour into drain.

During the operation, the fins & tubes of the main engine air cooler which become fouled with oil, grease, dust and carbonaceous deposit, which will affect cooler efficiency and damage the system.

RXSOL-54-1048-020 ( www.rxmarine.com/safe-acid-descalex-liquid-20-ltr ) is a powerful dissolving agent of calcium carbonate. Therefore, it is better to use RXSOL-54-1048-020 to do circulating cleaning at an early stage before the scales build up and block the tube, or regular cleaning is recommended as well. It is impossible to do a circulating cleaning when the tube is completely blocked.

Using Procedure:

Dirt attached on air-side fins of air coolers are a mix of carbonaceous particles such as soot and oil mist of unburned fuel components.
Carbonaceous particles can be removed by Alkaline Cleaners Part No. RXSOL-16-1040-025 ( www.rxmarine.com/alkaline-air-cooler-cleaner ) and oil mist can be removed by oil based cleaners. However, it is very difficult to remove the mix of these substances. If you use an alkaline cleaner, oil will repel the water based alkaline cleaner; if you use oil based cleaner, carbonaceous particles will get in the way and stop oil from being removed.

This cleaners designed to remove both carbonaceous and oil simultaneously. An effective cleaning method is to immerse one side to remove the loose stains first, and then immerse the other side. This method can efficiently remove dirt and prevent swollen dirt peeled from fins from blocking the spaces between fins.

Dirt in tubes of seawater side

White scales attached on the seawater side of air coolers of many vessels. We found that in most cases, the main component of the scales is calcium carbonate and there is also a small amount of calcium sulfate. Therefore in most cases, if you dissolve the calcium carbonate the scales will be removed.

However, if the amount of scales is large enough to block the tube, the cylindrical scale will usually have calcium carbonate on the outside (the side that is in contact with tube) and calcium sulfate in the center (part that seawater passes through). Calcium sulfate is easier to be formed when the temperature goes higher.

When the amount of scales increases, the contact area of scale and cleaner is very small and a longer time of dissolution is required. Calcium sulfate cannot be dissolved by an acid cleaner.

How to Clean Air Cooler?

Air Cooler Detergent Cleaner Formulated to clean remove heavy deposited oil, grease, and carbon and mud deposits from air coolers and scavenging systems. 3 Ltr of Concentrated Cleaner can cover heavily deposited contaminated cooler surface area.

DOSE Air Cooler Cleaning Chmeical Mixing Ration with Water : 1 Part Concentrate COOLER CLEANER with 3 PARTS FRESH WATER.

Note : If condition of COOLER is heavily deposited / contaminated then repeat the injection process 2-3 times.

After cleaning of EMULSIFIED deposits, Rinse the system with FRESH WATER.

SPRAY METHOD by HAND SPRAY :

First of all STOP AC ENGINE, and Disconnect from POWER SUPPLY.

Then spray on all coil CONCENTRATE Air Cooler Cleaner, And after 1 Hours use PRESSURE Water Jet as per the requirement ti remove all greasy mess and loose particle. And flush the system through DRAIN VALVE. If necessory, repeat the same PROCESS to get satisfaction and optimum cleaning result.

Typical Soak Method

USE PLASTIC BATH TUB and dip all machine parts to remove HEAVY DEPOSITED carbon and oil grease. Wait for minimum 2 - 4 hrs then RINSE the parts by using PRESSURE WATER JET.
