Normally For A System With Hard Scale Deposits A 5-10% W/W Solution Is Recommended. Preferably This Solution Should Be Made With Pre-Heated Water At 70-80oc. The Total Volume of Solution Should Be About 1.2 Times of Water Holding Capacity of Equipment To Be Descaled. Recirculate The Solution For About 6 Hours Using A Acid Compatible Pump. After Descaling It Is Necessary To Passivate System With 2% Solution of Alstascale Ps20 Into The Last Rinse And Return To Normal Service.

According to the Material Safety Data Sheet on propylene glycol, the chemical is a strong skin irritant, and has been implicated in contact dermatitis.

Using Procedure: 

DIRECTION OF USAGE

•    Machines should be rinsed with water to remove loose flakes & sludge's before use
•    Powder should be added to warm water for an ideal solution
•    The sample should be properly tested before using
•    Proper ventilation is essential for effective use of Sulfamic Acid Descalant
•    After cleansing, the solution should be drained out and the system should be rinsed with     water until pH value is neutral
•    Rinsing with ROTO PASS – 212 for better metal prevention and passivation is recommended

At room temperatures, dilute aqueous Sulfamic Acid solution is stable for a long time but rapid hydrolysis occurs at elevated temperatures. Its solution is less corrosive toward metals than another mineral acid. When compared to most of the common strong mineral acids, Sulfamic Acid has desirable water descaling properties, low volatility, low toxicity and is a water-soluble solid forming soluble calcium and iron-III salts. Because of its many positive attributes like handling ease, solubility and low corrosiveness, Sulfamic Acid is used for many diversified applications.

This is mixed with fresh water 3 to 20 percent depending on deposition of scaling. After using RXSOL-37-8865-025, Rinse all metal surfaces with 0.5 percent of RXSOL-20-2059-025 at least 2-4 house, up to neutrial of PH valve.
 

Procedure-of-use: The most effective descaling is accomplished by circulation.In the case of small components,the soak method in an immersion bath can be used. If the equipment to be cleaned is contaminated by oil, grease or sludge, then pre-cleaning with DEGREASER ( RXSOL OB 1005 ) is necessary. Depending on the extent of scaling, use a solution of 2.5-10% RXSOL-37-8865-025 . The solution will have a red colour which changes to orange when 85% of the acid has been neutralized , & to colourless  when the solution is totally neutralized. Whenever possible, the solution should be heated to 60°C.Neutralised  solutions can be re-activated by adding more RXSOL-54-1008-025  until the red colour reappears. This should not be done more than twice. RXSOL-37-8865-025  should not be used on Aluminium , Zinc, Tin or Galvanized surfaces.

Fields: Descaling of  Boilers, Descaling  of Diesel Engine Cooling Systems, Condenser, Pipeline collection system, Evaporators, Calorifiers, Heat Exchangers,The strength of the acid can be enhanced by adding 1part sodium chloride (common salt) to 20 parts of Descale Powder.If salt is not available, an acceptable alternative is to dissolve RXSOL-37-8865-025  in  water. After use of RXSOL-37-8865-025  a  0.5% solution of Alkalinity Control in fresh  water should be used for neutralization.

Evaporators, Calorifiers, Heat Exchangers:
The strength of the acid can be enhanced by adding 1 part sodium chloride (common salt) to 20 parts of Descale Powder RXSOL-37-8865-025. This enhancement of the cleaning solution, however, should not be used when descaling diesel engine cooling water systems. After use of Descale Powder a 0.5% solution of Alkalinity Control in fresh water should be used for neutralisation.

After using  RXSOL-37-8865-025, Rinse all metal surfaces with 0.5 percent of RXSOL-20-2059-025, at least 2-4 hour , up to neutral of PH value.

Using Procedure: 

The recommended dosage for Brine Corrosion Inhibitor RX is 17.5 litres per tonne of brine in the system. Brine Corrosion Inhibitor Rx may be added directly to the system either neat or in a water dilution. Dilutions should be made with evaporated water. If a chemical dosing pump is used then pump and lines should be mild steel, stainless steel, Teflon, polyethylene, PVC, polypropylene or rubber.

Conversion from chromate Brine corrosion inhibitor RX is compatible with chromate. Systems with chromate need not be flushed before adding the product. Let chromate deplete naturally and maintain boron level at a minimum of 70ppm. Brine Corrosion Inhibitor Rx should be fed slowly. Start feeding 5 to 10% of the total dosage at a time and watch for foaming. Gradually increase the feed rate. Brine Corrosion Inhibitor Rx does not induce foaming at normal dose rates, but if it is fed too much too soon, foaming may occur. Feed lines and pumps should be mild steel, stainless steel, Teflon, polyethylene, PVC polypropylene or rubber.

In the presence of fire or open flames, they can break down and liberate oxygen, providing a fuel source for the flame. The most common nitrate molten salts generally are a eutectic blend of sodium nitrate and potassium nitrate. Individual salts can be used, but by combining the two different salts together, the melting point is reduced. This allows for lower minimum operating temperatures and thus reduces the chance of freezeup. Sodium nitrate has a melting point of 584°F (307°C), and potassium nitrate has a melting point of 631°F (333°C). By mixing the two together, however, you can create a salt blend with a melting point of 431°F (222°C). This significantly expands the operational flexibility of the salt used in high temperature applications.

Nitrate salts are compatible with stainless steels up to 1049°F (565°C) and even carbon steel if the operating temperature is kept below 752°F (400°C). This makes them advantageous to use with common materials of construction to keep costs low. It is not advised to use yellow metals such as copper or brass with molten salts because they are not as compatible as steel at higher temperatures.

Heat Transfer Salt Molten salts are also used in applications of solar power plants (CSP), where the salt can store heat obtained from sunlight for long periods of time. Some of these CSP systems flow the salt directly through the receiver tubing, where sunlight hits a parabolic mirror and concentrates the sunlight to a tube in which the salt flows. 

 

Other systems may use molten salts for preheating natural gas lines or keeping reactors hot by using the molten salt in the jacket around a tank. Salts also have relatively high latent heat capacity — similar to many of the phase-change waxes that are used today — and are sometimes used in phase-change applications. When salts melt, they absorb large amounts of heat, and when they freeze, they release large amounts of heat. By utilizing this phenomenon, it is possible to create advanced thermal storage or temperature-regulating systems, depending on the process.

Half fill kettle with water and boil. Unplug and slowly add 1 spoon of RXSOL-11-1052-050 . Leave for just 10 minutes and see how effectively Oust removes limescale.

As for the other parts, The RXSOL-11-1052-050 works more quickly with hot water than cold. Try using RXSOL-11-1052-050 with the hot maintain the temperature. And give sufficint time to dissolve mineral deposits in some cases complete dissolving may reuqire bath water above 100F over night period.

Home application ::: 
Around two tablespoons to a liter of water is a 'normal' mix. You could go 3 or 4 tablespoons for heavier scale. When I do my every 6 months descale I use the 2 tablespoons per liter mix and it works just fine. Hot water is more aggressive so when you put all the parts in a tub to descale, put your water and RXSOL-11-1052-050 in a bit stock pot, bring it to a low boil then dump it in your tub with the parts.

Al most forgot, do not use an aluminum pot or Teflon coated. Use stainless. The acidic part of RXSOL-40-1048-025 will eat up the aluminum and may blister the Teflon.

The principal problem potential posed by sulfate ions in water is the possibility of calcium sulfate scale formation.  Precipitation of calcium sulfate can occur when high concentrations of both calcium and sulfate exist simultaneously.  There are three primary areas of water treatment in which calcium sulfate precipitation may occur boilers, cooling systems, and ion exchangers operating in the hydrogen or acid mode.

In boilers, calcium sulfate scale formation has been reduced to a minimum by modern treatment practices.  The low hardness levels largely preclude calcium sulfate boiler scale.    By contrast, cooling systems are subject to calcium sulfate scale deposition because the makeup is usually not treated for hardness removal.  Cooling water is usually treated with sulfuric acid for pH control, and the makeup is cycled, i.e. concentrated.  Calcium sulfate scale deposition can  result unless the cycles of concentration are properly controlled in conjunction with the proper use of scale control chemicals.  Cation ion exchangers regenerated with sulfuric acid also can pose a major calcium sulfate problem. Calcium sulfate precipitation can be avoided by controlling the acid concentration and the flow rate through the exchanger.
