Pickling Method to result Passive film – 
As per guideline of  ASTM A380, solution D.Take Nitric Acid 6 - 25%  and ½ - 8% HydroFluoric Acid in fresh water. And gives hot treatment at 28 - 60 degrees C for about 30 minutes.  Before uses of this strong acidic cleaning solution always take spot trial on steel surface as an acidic solution may etch highly finished steel surfaces. 

Good Pickling on surface helps Stainless steel to self-passivates on exposure to air and may accelerate the formation of the passive film or form a thicker passive film.
 

Metal Chemical Cleaning – Metal Brite, citrus-based cleaners also help to remove free iron contamination. Where highly finished steel surfaces matters this chemicals cleaning can be used freely. 
 
Electropolishing – Like machining and grinding, this process removes the surface of the part, including any embedded iron.
