Antiscalant RXSOL ORG EV  is a high performance liquid product for the control of alkaline scaling (calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide) in all types of seawater distillation plants. Using Procedure: 

Antiscalant RXSOL ORG EV is an aqueous solution of an organic acid and as such is corrosive in its concentrated form. Corrosion resistant dosing equipment must be used. Examples of suitable materials are 316L stainless steel and PVC or other plastic materials. Recommended injection points are either into the seawater make-up line after any external de-aeration and decarbonation equipment or into the recycle brine stream at a suitable point after the blowdown and typically into the discharge of the recycle brine pump

Antiscalant RXSOL ORG EV  is miscible with water in all proportions. It may be applied as the neat product, or as a solution in distillate and should be dosed continuously, and proportionately to the seawater make-up flow, to maintain the recommended dose level.

The dose level required will depend on a number of factors, including the quality of the seawater feed, TBT, recycle brine concentration factor, the type of distillation plant and frequency of application of the sponge ball cleaning system. Typical dose levels, when used in conjunction with a sponge ball cleaning system, are 0.8 to 1.2 mg/l at TBT 90 ºC and 2.0 to 3.0 mg/l at TBT 110 ºC. Detailed recommendations for any plant will be made on request

Thermal Stability: 
Thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry have shown that Antiscalant RXSOL ORG EV is stable up to a temperature of 300 oC.

Chemical Reactivity: 
Antiscalant RXSOL ORG EV  is not affected by chlorine or other oxidising biocides under normal conditions of use. It is readily broken down by strong oxidising

Dichlor granules dissolve quickly in water. They can be added to the waters surface, pre-dissolved in a bucket of water or added via a chlorination system. The pH level of dichlor is very stable, which means there is no need to add pH-neutralizing chemicals.

Dichlor is typically sold in granular form. This provides a simple and convenient way to chlorinate pools and spas. Dichlor is completely soluble in water and does not generate insoluble solids. Also, dichlor does not contribute to scaling. Thus, the dichlor products are suitable for hard water. Dichlor is typically sold by the manufacturer as a granular product with free available chlorine content depending on which form is used (dihydrate or anhydrous). Dichlor is available with additives which may provide some additional benefit to the user. However, it is important to note that if additives are mixed with the product, the available chlorine will be less than 56% or 62%. The available chlorine content is provided on product labels.

Using Procedure: 

Di Chlor or Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate (SDIC) widely applied for the sterilization of swimming pool and drinking water, or fighting against infectious diseases, or act as disinfectant in raising silkworm, livestock, poultry and fish. Other applications of Di Chlor  are found in wool shrinkage, textile bleaching, and industrial circulating water cleaning. Di Chlor  is normally supplied in powder and granular, tablets are also available on request. Stabilised chlorine granular (dichlor) are used very widely to chlorinate swimming pool water. The product has high efficiency and constant performance and has no harm to human beings.

Note: 

The amount of product to be used or dispensed depends upon the specific application and the volume of water being treated. For example, in routine sanitizing use, the objective is to maintain a residual available chlorine (FAC) concentration of 1.0 ppm – 4.0 ppm for pools and 2.0 ppm – 5.0 ppm for spas. The label use instructions will explain how to determine a typical dosage for the water volume to be treated. Label use instructions will similarly define dosage requirements for other product applications such as oxidation, shock treatment or superchlorination.

Dichlor is a dry solid with strong oxidizing properties. It is stable when stored in a cool, dry, ventilated area and not contaminated by other chemicals such as acids or easily oxidizable materials. Dichlor, in the solid form, shall not be mixed with other pool chemicals including other chlorinating agents. Partially empty packages must not be consolidated, as this could result in dangerous mixing with incompatible dry chlorinating agents having a similar appearance.

CAUTION: If mishandled, improperly stored, or contaminated, dichlor products can become unstable and dangerous, as is the case in general with chlorinating agents. Fire, explosion and/or evolution of toxic gasses could result, depending on the nature and amount of the contaminant. As with any oxidizer, dichlor can oxidize metals and may result in staining of pool and spa surfaces.

Are Coliform Bacteria Harmful?

Most coliform bacteria do not cause disease. However, some rare strains of E. coli, particularly the strain 0157:H7, can cause serious illness. Recent outbreaks of disease caused by E. coli 0157:H7 have generated much public concern about this organism. E. coli 0157:H7 has been found in cattle, chickens, pigs, and sheep. Most of the reported human cases have been due to eating under cooked hamburger. Cases of E. coli 0157:H7 caused by contaminated drinking water supplies are rare.

Coliform Testing

Testing for bacteria is the only reliable way to know if your water is safe. You cannot tell by the look, taste, or smell of the water if disease-causing organisms are in it.  If you have experienced bacteria problems in the past, it is recommended that you test your well more frequently.

When Should I Test for well ?

Late spring or early summer are the best times to test your well, since coliform contamination is most likely to show up during wet weather. Whether your test results are positive or negative. The more samples you have tested, the more confident you can be about the quality of the water you are drinking.

What do the Results Mean?

If coliform bacteria are present in your drinking water, your risk of contracting a water-borne illness is increased. Although total coliforms can come from sources other than fecal matter, a positive total coliform sample should be considered an indication of pollution in your well. Positive fecal coliform results, especially positive E. Coli results, should be considered indication of fecal pollution in your well.

What Should be done if Coliform Bacteria are Detected in tank?

When coliforms have been detected, repairs or modifications of the water system may be required. Boiling the water is advised until disinfection and retesting can confirm that contamination has been eliminated. A defective well is often the cause when coliform bacteria are found in well water.

Application: 

Copper sulfate is also used to test blood for anemia. The blood is tested by dropping it into a solution of copper sulfate of known specific gravity – blood which contains sufficient hemoglobin sinks rapidly due to its density, whereas blood which does not sink or sinks slowly has insufficient amount of hemoglobin.

Copper Sulphate is commonly used by gardeners and commercial farmers to prevent problems with fungus or mold The copper status of the soil, together with the frequency of application and quantity of copper sulfate applied, will determine the effects of copper sulfate on plants.

 

Used in an area of copper-deficient soil, copper sulfate enriches the soil and provides an essential nutrient to growing plants. When soil is copper-deficient, young plants may develop chlorosis, a condition in which leaves yellow due to lack of chlorophyll. Copper deficiencies can also cause stunted or atypical growth; young plants in very nutrient-deficient soil may simply die. Wilting, lack of flowers and reduced fruit harvest are all likely effects of copper-deficient soil. Copper sulfate prevents these problems. Test soil regularly, and apply copper sulfate as needed in a spray or fertilizer preparation.

The use of copper compounds in aquaculture is not expected to pose a risk. The limited database available on the influence of copper to the development of antibiotic resistance in gut and soil bacteria indicates that high copper concentrations in the microbial environment increase the number of copper-resistant bacteria, and copper resistance seems to be correlated with more frequent resistance to several antibiotics in certain bacterial species. A potential copper threshold concentration could not be derived. The total pool of macrolide resistance in animals probably originates from antibiotic treatment and not from the use of high dietary copper. The extent to which copper-resistant bacteria contribute to the overall antibiotic resistance can not be quantified at present. Copper sulphate pentahydrate is efficacious in meeting animal requirements.
