Category

This product is very common to use for removing of  traces  HYDROCARBONS from tank ,  after cleaning of TANKS from solvent base tank cleaning materials . when possibilities of next cargo will contaminate with hydrocarbon.

Remarks

Neutral cleaner to avoid chemical reaction of oil and Fat which is causing grease layer on the tank surface. While Alkaline cleaner reacts with fatty acid present in oil and fat and causing the formation of sticky greasy mass on the tank surface this is the reason why we should avoid uses of any alkaline materials for removal of vegetable, animal and mineral oils etc... HCF Neutral product based on highly efficient dissolving and low foaming nonionic surface-active agents.specialized for the removal of vegetable, animal and mineral oils as well as fats.

Neutral HCF supplier and stockist at all Indian and UAE - Middle East Coastal. HCF Neutral chemical importance is to emulsify vegetable oils and animal oils and fats residue with less foaming effect. Chemically if you can understand oil and fat which contain FATTY ACID while the general cleaner is alkaline in nature which is resulting greasy mass oncoming contact with Fatty Acid and Alkali cleaning material. To avoid the formation of GREASE like substance inside the tank, it is very important to take care of an alkaline cleaner with such cargo. On the other hand HCF Neutral ( free from any kinds of alkali mixture ) emulsifying oils particle and makes water soluble to remove from zinc-silicate coated tanks surface.

Question : How to clean veg oil ?

Answer   : Following step can be follows to clean VEG OIL...
Step 1
Don't expose empty tank in air. Try to keep cool temperature inside the tank. Remove any remaining oil residue by gravitational and manual stripping, If possible Dampen a soft, clean cloth or rag under cool to room temperature water. Wring the cloth. The cloth should be damp, not dripping wet.

Step 2
If posible Lay the dampened cloth over the vegetable oil. Push downward to absorb as much oil as possible. Do not rub or wipe the oil. Lift the cloth.

Step 3
Spray and Sprinkle Hydrocarbon Remover HCF over any remaining vegetable oil. HCF cleaner will emulsify the oil, Allow the product to complete reaction for approximately an hour.

Step 4

Then follow genreal tank cleaning manual of SHIP. Common addopted method for tank cleaning is as follows :::

Spraying Method:-
Using HCF as delivered in drums, spray onto areas where residue remains following rough washing leave for 10-45 minutes (but do not allow to dry), then butterworth at maximum pressure and warm water 60oC for at least 3 hours, checking that there is no foam remaining in the final stages.  Inspects tanks(s) and if desired result has been achieved fresh water rinse and dry.
**Make sure to take all safety precautions are followed when handling / spraying HCF**

Re-circulation Method:–
Fill tank with fresh water and heat up to warm 50oC .  IF a drop line is available on the tank line system, then start to circulate the water and add the required amount of Caustic flakes and HCF to make a 2.5% solution.  A stronger solution can be made, but be advised that too much Caustic and too high temperature will result in white powder all over the tank.  Under normal circumstances, between 2.5% and 4.5% will be sufficient strength.  If there is no drop line, then lower butterworth hoses into the tank from the pump stack header without machines attached and circulate through these hoses while you fill the solution material.

                                             * Use a strainer at the pump stack when circulating any solution.*

Step 5
Once clean, use a dry, clean towel or rag to dry the area. Or keep tanks ventelated.
