Product Notes

Cyclohexylamine is also utilized as corrosion inhibitor. Cyclohexylamine is used as an intermediate for the various synthesis :

Herbicides (e.g. S-ethyl N-ethyl cyclohexyl thiocarbamate)
Antioxidants & vulcanization accelerator (e.g. N-cyclohexyl 2-benzothiazole sulfenamide)
Mucolytics
Broncodialators (e.g. bromhexine HCl)
Analgesic agents
Additive for prevention of CO2
Corrosion inhibitor in steam pipelines and boilers
Urethane chain stopper
Artificial sweetener such as cyclamates.

Cyclohexylamine is a clear colorless to yellow liquid with an odor of ammonia. Flash point 90°F. Irritates the eyes and respiratory system and Skin contact.

Why aniline is a weak base than cyclohexylamine?

NH2 group and six carbon ring are present in both Aniline and cyclohexylamine. But due to presence of aromatic ring in Aniline electron loosing effect becomes poor, This is the reason for difference in basicity lies in a manner that aniline is a weak base then cyclohexylamine. In aniline unshared ellectron pair of electron on nitrogen atom is present in conjucation with the benzene ring and becomes less available for protonation because of resonance.
